Trae

Trae
By Trae
My hands are rough,
Like a stone.
My eyes are brown,
Like the sand.
My hair is as black as night.
My writing is sloppy.
My hearts holds kindness,
That is blue
Just like the blue sky

Lonely

Lonely
By Kisha
Lonely is white like a box with nothing inside,
It also is like a playground with no kids.
It walks through my mind.
It reminds me of the time when no one was home.
It makes me want to scream out loud,
“WHERE IS EVERYBODY?”

Fear

Fear
By Aubric
Fear is red like a stoplight,
And also like a heartbeat.
It clings though my soul,
It reminds me of the time I rode my first bike.
It makes me want to die.

Black

Black
By Aubric
Black is a place where people are confused.
It smells like burning rubber.
It tastes like burnt toast.
It moves faster than you can say, “1,2,3.”
Its texture is like a rough and hard rock.
It’s cold like the nighttime in winter.
It looks like a dark place where you don’t like.
It sounds like a bunch of quarters dropping.

About My Best Friend

About My Best Friend Nicole S.
By Ashley
Her eyes are like a big bright star shining;
I like how she is always smiling.
She likes to talk,
She likes to walk—but very fast.
She’s very good at all subjects;
But I’m not too sure if she likes to talk in public.
She works very fast,
But doesn’t worry about the past.
She likes cats,
And likes to use the bats for baseball.
But most of all she’s a good friend.

Happy

Happy
By Kayla
Happy can be like when your with your friends.
I see happy like GOLD,
Because I think being happy is the best thing that counts.
When you’re happy you just want to keep singing,
And also eating your favorite food.
Happy sounds like you and your friends and family always laughing.
Happy also tastes like your favorite food running down your throat.
When I’m happy I just want to say, “I love you” to anybody I see.
I have to say I love being happy.
I think that if you try being happy you’ll like it.
Well, whoever is reading this poem I love you.

The Great Mother Earth

The Great Mother Earth
By Desmond
Mother Earth is green as the prairie throughout the land.
The mountains remind me of red chili peppers.
The desert sand is like ground corn.
The blue sky reminds me of a waterfall.
The pine tree scent calms my soul.
Mother Earth feels like home.

All About Me

All About Me
By Chanynge
My hair is soft like a silky bed sheet.
My eyes are beautiful like a purple rose.
My soul is good like God is in it.
My life will always be good because God will always be there wherever I go.
My heart is full of kindness like a fresh white rose.
I live in a trailer and eat food.
